Radio shuttle pallet racking system is a semi-automated storage solution for handling goods within the lane similar to a car rack set-up. The pallet shuttle system eliminates the need for forklift access to the aisles and therefore provides a cost-effective and time-saving storage solution.

The system is a semi-automated system for storing goods in side-by-side pallet aisles or rows. Goods are placed in the aisles by remotely controlled automated pallet shuttles (battery trolleys), eliminating the need for forklift access to the pallet racks themselves and saving manpower, equipment, time, and huge maintenance costs. Outside the racks, pallet handling can be done by standard forklift trucks.

In addition to providing similar capabilities in terms of cubic storage in push-back racking systems and drive-in racking systems; utilizing the high ceilings of modern industrial and storage units, radio shuttles are a more viable solution for deep storage.

Push-back racking systems and drive-in racking systems will encounter selectivity problems when reaching certain heights. FIFO pallet life requires very consistent pallet placement to avoid "crabs", which become more difficult to reach as high as you go.

This motorized shuttle solves these problems by allowing pallets to be placed at the front of the rack without the need to pull on the mast or push. The pallet can be placed on the shuttle at the front of the rack and reliably transported further into the track without the risk of crabs or capture.

When driving slows down to operate higher up the storage track to go (more care is needed to position it correctly at height); the radio shuttle solves these problems for you, the shuttle itself does the positioning work for you, ensuring the best position every time. All that needs to be done is to place the pallet well between the rails at the front of the rack.
