Various Types of Wire Decks With Different Designs For Industrial Additional Support
Wire mesh decks are a kind of necessary accessory in modern pallet rack storage systems. They can provide additional support and are very friendly to cartons, boxes, and other small or palletized products.
Wire decks used in pallet racks are constructed with many different types of mesh decks and supported channels, mixed combinations of which lead to various types of wire decks for your option.

1. Support Channels
The support channels used in wire decks can be divided into U channel and flanged channel, the former may provide more strength than the latter.
Usually, U channels are perfect match to step beams and flared channels are ideal for box beam or structural beam.
2. Wire decks
The wire decks can also be different patterns: waterfall reversed waterfall, and flush flat.
3. Different types of wire decks
Combing different channels with different style mesh girds, we get different wire decking configurations.
Here are some commonly used patterns for your reference.
Standard Waterfall Wire Deck=U Channel + Waterfall Decks
Standard waterfall wire deck with U shape channel is the most popular type used in step beams. A typical standard waterfall wire deck has 3 channels which rest on the step beams bearing loading capacity. And the waterfall shape edge will cover some outside part of the beams offering additional stability and protection.
Inverted Step Wire Deck= Inverted U Channel+ Waterfall Decks
The inverted step wire deck is working exactly like the standard type, only with inverted channels which can stop the accumulation of dirt and dust. Complying with FDA regulations, they are widely used in the food industry and in clean applications.
Flush Flat Wire Deck=U Channel + Flush Flat Deck
Flush flat wire deck, as the name suggested, the flat surface of the deck stays flush with the top of the beams. Without any reach-out or hangovers, these kinds of wire decks look more neat and clean.
A variation: Inside Waterfall
Inside waterfall is an interesting variation from the standard waterfall wire deck and flush flat wire deck. Putting the shorter waterfall inside the step beam can guarantee both the load capacity and the nice look from the front, leaving the beam faces unobstructed. For hand-loading products, this design is also safer for the workers since no sharp edges to scratch.
Universal Flared Wire Decks=Flared Channel + Waterfall Decks
Universal flared wire decks with waterfall designs are widely used in box beams and structural beams.
Inverted Flared Wire Deck= Inverted Flared Channel+Waterfall Deck
Inverted flared wire decks also meet the regulation of the FDA and commonly are customized to meet special requirements.
Reversed Waterfall Wire Decks
Reversed waterfall wired decks, by turning the regular waterfall edge up, can function as a backstop to stop items falling from the rack. Sometimes, we can use the waterfall wire decks up and down separately at the back and front of one-level beams.
