Certified High-Density Drive-in Pallet Racking System for Heavy Duty Storage
Drive in pallet racking System is regarded as a high-density pallet racking storage system, which makes the best use of available space in the facility at the expense of selectivity. Consequently, it offers the highest possible density of pallet storage, but provides the lowest selectivity. Therefore, it is ideal for products with very fast rotation rate, which moves on a “first pallet in, last pallet out (FILO)” basis.
Drive-in pallet racks contain a series of tunnels with rails on either side, and pallets in drive in pallet racking system are directly placed on there rails. Each tunnel is storage space for pallets while at the same time serves as working aisle for forklifts. Forklifts can drive into every tunnel to load or unload pallets.
Usually, forklift operator will carry the first stored pallet to the deepest storing position so as to take best advantage of the space, then back pallets will be placed in front of the first pallet. The first pallet can not be accessed before removing other pallets, thus the first stored pallet will be the last one to pick up, which is called LIFO rotation order.
