Forklift- friendly Cantilever Rack System with Customizable Design
Cantilever rack is a unique rack system that contains bases, columns, and arms. There is no beam and arms are extended from columns to support loads. Vertical support columns are only at the rear of racks so as to leave more flexible space for long, bulky or awkward loads.
The main feature of cantilever rack is that it has wide-open access at the front of the rack. Therefore, it is appropriate for storing long, or odd-shaped cargoes which are not suitable to be loaded on standard pallet racks. Besides, its arms can be customized to various styles and sizes to fit the storage of a wide variety of furniture and building materials.
Cantilever racks can be used both indoors and outdoors. Cantilever racks can serve as pallet racks if equipped with decks among arms. Based on that, since there is no front column, storing and retrieving become easier and stored loads can get immediate access, leading to lower cost and less handling time. In addition, the position and sizes of arms can be adjusted to accommodate various load dimensions.

Generally, cantilever systems can be divided into three types: light duty, standard duty, and I-beam cantilever racks.
♦ Light Duty Cantilever Rack
Light-duty cantilever racks are designed for small items which can be hand loading and unloaded. They are made of high-strength steel. Both bolted connection and welded connection are taken into use in late-duty cantilever racks. They are adjustable every two inches on vertical columns. Either single or double-sided configuration is feasible for light duty cantilever rack system.
♦ Standard Duty Cantilever Rack
Standard-duty cantilever racks are designed to store standard to heavy loads. There are various arm sizes and type options available to meet a variety of storage needs. Arms are adjustable every 3 inches. They contain bolted arm connections with a heavy arm connector plate as well as welded column-to-base connections. The cantilever shelving units can be built in either single or double-sided configurations.
♦ I-Beam Cantilever Rack
I-Beam cantilever racks allow access from both sides. This design saves horizontal space normally lost because of rack structure, reduces fork truck damage and allows for faster load and unload times. They’re constructed of structural steel with a 50,000 psi minimum yield.
With freestanding heights up to 30 feet and 8 feet in arm lengths, they provide a lot of storage options. Arms can be adjusted every 4 inches. With a heavy arm connector plate and bolted column-to-base connections, they are a rugged addition to your storage lineup.
Cantilever rack systems are suitable for storing Steel bars, Wood, Plywood, Lumber, Furniture, Appliances, Pipe, Structural members, Sheet steel, Tubing, Doors, Boxes, Pallets, Conduit, Extrusions, Rolls, Building materials, etc.
